Ang polong maó ang tingog kon mga tingog tigpadayág sa mga panghonàhonà ug pagbati sa tawo. Kining mga tingoga ginapadagwayan sa nagkalain-laing titik. Ang han-ay sa mga titik ginganlan og katitikan.
B) ENGLISH
The word is the sound or sounds express the thoughts and emotions/feelings of a person. These sounds are expressed by the different letters. This group of letters is called the alphabet.

Before the arrival of the Spaniards, there were two alphabets used by the early inhabitants here in the Philippine Islands: the Alibata and Sanskrit. The first was used by the Visayan and Luzon. The latter was used by the muslim in Mindanao. This alphabet was brought by the people of Borneo and Indonesia who invaded here in our nation. The Alibata, being the showcase of different syllables, is called the syllabic alphabet.
