Kim Chiu (Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu born on April 19, 1990) is a Filipina actress in the Philippines. Kim Chiu was the first winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, and now part of Star Magic, under contract with ABS-CBN.

Chiu launched her career by winning Pinoy Big Brother: Teen edition. She was the first winner, beating 14 other housemates. Kim and the rest of the housemates entered the Big Brother house on April 23, 2006. On June 3, 2006, after 42 days of summer, spending on the Big Brother house, Kim was named the Teen Big Winner with 626,562 votes (41.4% of the total votes) in the Aliwen Theatre, Center Philippine Cultural Complex in Pasay City. She was the only housemate who were never nominated for eviction.

In the six months following the end of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, Chiu and Gerald Anderson appeared together in several programs

After Cris Aquino and Willie Revillame backout in the movie”Ikaw na nga” as the official entry in Metro Manila film fest.

Maricel Soriano with Ai-ai Delas Alas and Kim Chiu with Gerald Anderson will have the cameo role.

The first plan was Kim and Enchong Dee will the partners on this movie but the Kimerald fans protest about this. Maricel Soriano was not able to accept her role in the movie “Ikaw na nga” that’s why the title was change from “Ikaw na nga” to “I love you good bye”.

The star cinema recieved an approval from the 2009 MMFF executive committee to change their entry.

Angela Panganiban, Derek Ramsay and Gabby Concepcion are the stars in this movie. Malou Santos decided that Kim and Gerald will not be included in this project but she will give another movie for the Kimerald fans.

KIM CHIU is the Real Next Superstar!

Entertainment website STIR (www.stir.ph ) make a poll survey title ” Who is the real next Superstar” and Kim Chiu is a winner with 9,950 votes.

Angel Locsin’s rally with 9,289 votes in second place. Angel toppled early leaders Bea Alonzo at 906 votes and Sarah Geronimo at 139 votes but Kim managed to take over and ruled until the end. Kim is therefore declared as the Real Next Superstar!
