Sam started as a print ad and TV commercial model. At the age of 10, she got her first job as a model, appearing on Coca-Cola posters. Other television and print ads credits include the Sunsilk, SMART, Voice combo sandwiches, Colgate Palmolive and McDonald’s. She was also an endorser for a clothing brand, BAYO.

She became known to people after having been part of the reality series, Pinoy Big Brother: Double up. At the start, she is in the House B housemates. She transferred to the House A after a week of her stay inside the Big Brother’s house. She was saved by her fans through voting on several eviction nights before finally getting the boot on the night of January 9, 2010.

Her First TV Appearance

Before her stay in the reality show, however, Sam Pinto seen perform with Mark Herras on a “Maynila” episode of GMA Network. Sam was a finalist in the Myx VJ Search 2008. Her first appearance was in a regular television program called DJ midnight, opposite Oyo Boy Sotto. She joined the series as a regular cast in the middle of season 4. She played Max, the midnight DJ’s resident psychic. His character was introduced in the “Oink!” Oink! ” episode.

After endless rumors & speculation of her move to rival network ABS-CBN, Sam confirmed the news on his Twitter account: “Thank you KAPUSO family for welcoming me! I’m so excited. So finally I can answer, yes I’m a KAPUSO now ”. She signed an exclusive contract for three years with the GMA network.

Sam Pinto played Samara, a warrior princess in the 2010 official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival, Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote. The movie is top-billed by Sen. Bong Revilla and Vic Sotto; Sam played the Bong’s love interest.
