Pinay Teen Actress Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu (Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu born on April 19, 1990) is a Filipina actress in the Philippines. Kim Chiu was the first winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, and now part of Star Magic, under contract with ABS-CBN.

Chiu launched her career by winning Pinoy Big Brother: Teen edition. She was the first winner, beating 14 other housemates. Kim and the rest of the housemates entered the Big Brother house on April 23, 2006. On June 3, 2006, after 42 days of summer, spending on the Big Brother house, Kim was named the Teen Big Winner with 626,562 votes (41.4% of the total votes) in the Aliwen Theatre, Center Philippine Cultural Complex in Pasay City. She was the only housemate who were never nominated for eviction.

In the six months following the end of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, Chiu and Gerald Anderson appeared together in several programs of ABS-CBN network, made several commercial endorsements, and appeared in her first film, the first day high. Chiu and Anderson also appeared in the Aalog ALog and love spells. Their love team was dubbedd “kimerald” by fans, which is an acronym of their names.

Chui and Anderson scored their first anniversary in show business with the film I’ve fallen for you, which premiered September 26, 2007 under star cinema. After her victory, Chui became a high school student in the Distance Learning Center of ABS-CBN, the network’s school for their young artists.

In 2007, Chiu starred in his first television series entitled Sana Maulit Muli with Gerald Anderson. Chiu is a member of ABS-CBN’s circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic. Following the success of Sana Maulit Muli, she cast as the lead actress in the prime time shows My Girl, the Filipino version of a Korean Series with the same title and teamed again with Gerald Anderson. She also starred with Claudine Barretto in the mini series Maligno.

In January 2009, Kim starred in the television series entitled Tayong Dalawa, which was Kim’s third appearance in a television series in primetime and also the second time he worked with Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca from Sana Maulit Muli.

Kim was a special guest in 2009 Fiestas in the Philippines, together with Gerald Anderson, held August 15-16 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. Chiu is also a part in Star Cinema’s official entry for 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival, I Love You, Goodbye. Kim is currently in Magkakalayo Tayo’y Kung, his fourth novel in four years, together with Gerald Anderson, Coco Martin, Kris Aquino, Jaclyn Jose, Gina Reyes Maricar Stop, Max Eigenmann, Gabby Concepcion and Albert Martinez.

Chui is also currently a regular performer on ASAP XV and has been a mainstay since 2006.

At present, Kim Chiu is building her dream house, like her partner Gerald Anderson, who is building his own dream house, now in its finishing touches or maybe its already finished.

“I envy Gerald. Now he has his own house and lot. We started together in Pinoy Big Brother. However, I was thinking twice about buying a house because I was afraid that I have nothing left in my savings account. Seeing Gerald so sure of what he wants, I decided to build my own house,”, “explains Kim.

Kim is helping Gerald with the household furniture. She has also gifted Gerald a two-door refrigerator which some say is worth P100, 000.
