Nikki Gil uncomfortable with kissing scenes

Singer-host Nikki Gil may be in demand right now, but admits she feels uncomfortable in kissing scenes.

Gil, who is part of the new ABS-CBN teleserye “Susan Roces Collection: Florinda”, said she would not do things that would make her uncomfortable.

“Ayaw ko pong magsalita ng tapos. (Kung may restrictions?) Nothing that I would be uncomfortable in doing I guess. I wouldn’t want to sacrifice my morals for art kasi marami naman akong options. You know I could be a singer, I’m a host. Basta po I wouldn’t do anything I’m uncomfortable in doing,” she said.

Gil admitted she now accepts more quality projects because she already completed her studies.

“Kasi graduate na ako. Alam naman natin na yon lang talaga ang malaking hadlang kung bakit I really got into showbiz full time. Yeah, I’m excited, tignan natin. I’m just praying na the singing and hosting won’t take a backseat because those are two things that I equally love doing. Sayang din naman, hindi ba? So kung kaya nating gawin lahat at kaya ng katawan, why not?” Gil said.

She said she considers Maricel Soriano and now Batangas Governor Vilma Santos as her acting idols. From the younger generation, she says she is also a fan of Angelica Panganiban.

Besides “Florinda,” which premieres on September 7, Gil is also expected to make a series “Nagmula sa Puso” with Maja Salvador and Jason Abalos as lead star.

She is also the newest leading lady of actor Coco Martin for “Agimat: Tonyong Bayawak.”

Gil is currently in a relationship with the singer-host Billy Crawford. Gil met Crawford while hosting “Pinoy Dream Academy.”
