Beautiful Actress Kris Bernal

Kristine Ann Tan Bernal, better known by her screen name Kris Bernal (born on May 17, 1989 in Quezon City, Philippines), is a Filipina actress that became known as one of the finalists of StarStruck, a reality-based talent search for teenagers on Philippine television. She was eventually named as part of the Ultimate Loveteam with Aljur Abrenica.

Kristine Ann Tan Bernal was born on May 17, 1989 in Quezon City to Edgardo Bernal, who currently resides in the United States and works in a semiconductor company, and Analyn Tan, who is a housewife. She is the third in a brood of 4. She has twin older sisters Kathleen Ann and Katherine Ann, who are also models, and has a younger brother named Miguel.

She studied her elementary education in Diliman Preparatory School and Holy Family School, and continued her secondary education in Holy Family School. For college, she studied at Trinity University of Asia with nursing as her course, and where she is also a dean’s lister.

While she was a nursing student at the Trinity University of Asia, she indulged herself in theater activities joining the University’s Talento Entablado Trinitia At Isang Respetadong Organisasyon (T.E.A.T.R.O.). During her freshman year, she joined a pageant and won. She was given the title “Ms. Trinity”. This paved the way for her becoming the face of the University’s advertisement.

As of now, Bernal has decided to stop school temporarily since she has been busy with tapings and rehearsals. But her university has given her some consideration since she is a Dean’s Lister. The school has asked her to comply with some projects and requirements and submit them until March, before the school year ends.

In 2005, while at a mall with her older sister, a saleslady approached them and said that there was a contest for Clean and Clear. The saleslady said that the sisters were pretty and asked if she could take a picture. Kris and her sister thought that there’s no harm in trying and decided to give it a try. A few weeks later, they were informed that they won the contest, thus, making them instant cover models of Meg magazine’s April 2005 issue and P100,000 richer.

In 2006, she appeared as the leading lady in Rocksteddy’s music video for their song, Magpakailanman.

Moreover, she has appeared in a few product endorsements including the Ponds’ Sky photoshoot with Claudine Barretto as the lead.

After winning StarStruck, Kris, along with StarStruck batchmates, joined a teen-oriented show Boys Nxt Door. She considered Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan as her biggest break on television playing the role of Amy. After Zaido stint, she joined the cast of Dyesebel which stars Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

She has joined the cast of Loving You along with her partner Aljur Abrenica. Then she has been part of horror film Mag-ingat Ka Sa…Kulam, which stars Dennis Trillo and Judy Ann Santos.

Kris alongside Mart Escudero were paired on both TV & movies but because of Escudero’s teamup with Jennica Garcia as his partner in Impostora Escudero was then permanently paired with Garcia. But their StarStruck batchmate Aljur Abrenica was already smitten with Kris at the start of StarStruck’s season 4. Kris was then paired with Aljur Abrenica & it ledto big roles that rocketed their careers.

Her recent break is Luna Mystica which stars Heart Evangelista and Mark Anthony Fernandez. After Luna Mystika, Bernal and her loveteam partner Aljur starred in Sine Novela, Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?, due to their popularity. Because of the success of their afternoon soap they were given a chance to lead in a primetime via All My Life together with Aljur Abrenica. But people often thinks that it’s still doesn’t look primetime for them because of the fact that it’s timeslot.
