Angelica Panganiban is currently in the comedy sitcom “Banana Split: Season 2″ and casted in “Bandida” for the year 2009. She is given her lead role in “Rubi”, a local remake of a Mexican telenovela.

Marian Rivera (born Marian Gracia Rivera in Madrid, Spain) is a Filipina actress and occasional singer-dancer. Her first TV role came in 2005 via TAPE Inc.’s afternoon drama, Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako in the lead that was aired in GMA Network. However, her break out role did not come until 2007 when she was cast for the title role in the Philippine remake of MariMar. Marian Rivera is currently GMA Network’s talents.

Marian Rivera was born in Madrid, Spain to Francisco Javier Gracia Alonso, a Spaniard and Amalia Rivera, a Filipina of Cavitena descent.

Rivera first starred in an afternoon soap opera for TAPE Inc. and GMA Network, including Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako, Agawin Mo Man Ang Lahat and Pinakamamahal along with Oyo Boy Sotto. She was also seen in Enteng Kabisote 2: Okay Ka Fairy Ko: The Legend Continues, as well with Oyo Boy

Trudis Liit of GMA7 started its pilots episode last June 28 at the same time with the Magkaribal by ABS-CBN. It was a face-off between the energetic five year old girl Jillian Ward, who will play Trudis Liit and the combined power of Gretchen Barretto, Bea Alonzo and Derek Ramsay. Another David against Goliath match!

Certain dragonflies can glide for 30 seconds without any significant loss in altitude.Their secret? An aerodynamic wing that is unlike any manufactured by the aircraft industry!

The microthin wing of the dragonfly is corrugated, with pleats that prevent it from bending. Scientists have found that the pleats also give the dragonfly greater lift while gliding. “This is because air circulates in the cavities between pleats, creating areas of very low drag that aid the lift generating air flow across the wing,”says New Scientist magazine.

After studying the wing of the dragonfly, aerospace engineer Abel Vargas and his colleagues concluded that “biologically inspired wings are very relevant in the design of micro-aerial vehicles.” Armed with a camera or other equipment, such as palm-size flying robots have a number of practical uses, from obtaining information from disaster locations to monitoring pollution levels.
